From Banker:
Originally introduced at the 1958 NAMM show and produced in extremely limited quantities until 1963. Recreated by many but matched by few, the 1958 Korina Explorer is the Holy Grail of electric guitars. The Excalibur is our recreation of this one of a kind instrument whose styling was the pinnacle of mid century modern simplicity meeting funky futuristic ideas. The lines are perfect, from the hockey stick headstock, to the spacing of the trapezoidal body lines. It has left its mark on rock and roll from the heyday of Allen Collins and Lynyrd Skynyrd, to James Hetfield of Metallica. Built from 100% West African Korina, with the traditional “hockey stick” headstock, Kluson Keystone tuners, and 58′ Carve. The Excalibur is a joy to play and makes a statement like nothing else.
