Summary

Finish: Original, with two small pink touchups on the edges of the body.

Body Material: Alder

Body Details: Solid alder body with paisley fabric covering. The body was routed for a neck humbucker and Stratocaster middle pickup, both of which are covered by the pickguard.

Neck Material: Maple

Neck Profile: “C” profile

Neck Thickness (IN): .85″ (1st fret), .94″ (12th fret)

Neck Details: Bolt-on maple neck with unbound maple cap fretboard, dot inlays, and heel-adjust truss rod. The neck has a “3 JUN 68 B” heel stamp.

Electronics: Grey bobbin Fender bridge pickup, with cloth leads and white string wrap. The neck pickup is a modern Fender “Nocaster” pickup, and the wiring harness has been fully replaced. Controls include 3-way blade selector switch and master volume/tone controls.

Pickup Measurements: 7.0k (neck), 6.3k (bridge)

Hardware: The pickguard and control plate have been replaced. Original frets, nut, tuners, and bridge assembly.

Cosmetic Condition: This vintage Fender Telecaster is in clean cosmetic condition for its age. The finish has nicely faded, and there are some small dents and dings mostly around the edges of the body. Two of these have been touched up with matching pink lacquer, one on the top edge of the bass bout, and a smaller one on the top edge of the treble bout. The back of the neck is glossy and smooth, with light finish checking.

Tech Notes: The guitar plays well with low action and optimal neck relief. The original frets are low with light play wear. The serial number and heel stamp dates the guitar to 1968.
