Neck Details: Bolt-on maple neck with unbound Brazilian rosewood fingerboard and clay dot inlays. The neck has been refretted. The neck stamp reads “5JAN64C.”

Electronics: Original pickups with volume and tone controls. The electronics are original, with one visible pot code dating to 1964.

Hardware: Original hardware. The pickguard is cracked in several areas.

Cosmetic Condition: This bass has light to moderate play wear for its age. The finish is checking, with scratches, and dings throughout. There are a few larger areas of finish wear on the back of the body and lower horn.

Modifications/Repairs: The neck has been refretted, the pickguard has been remounted to the top of the body with new holes due to the pickguard shrinking, and new foam has been added to the pickup cavity.

Tech Notes: Plays well with low action and optimal neck relief. The frets are tall, narrow, and show minimal play wear. The neck stamp, one visible pot code, and serial number all date to 1964.

Case Details: Original hardshell case. The handle has been wrapped in tape.
