From George Way:
That is a Way Tradition kit, matte white lacquer over Walnut. This is one of the more rare finishes – very few were made. The kit rises above the more common “club” style kits, in that the shells are all Walnut and of exceptional quality and based on the original Way shells of the 50’s and 60’s. It features die cast claws with protective retaining rubber grommets, Way double edge / double flange hoops, and Remo heads. While I don’t like getting caught up in edge talk, the kit has 30 degree cuts to the inside.
