The 70Hce is joined at the 14th fret, unlike a traditional classical guitar which is joined at the 12th, making this feel more familiar to steel-string players. It features a narrower nut width than standard classical guitars and has a radiused fingerguard, rather than flat.
All carefully considered details culminate in less of a departure from steel string familiarity for those players looking for a nylon string sound.
The contrast between Sitka and Rosewood creates a classic, sophisticated aesthetic with excellent tonal qualities. The AC70Hce is fitted with the LR Baggs StagePro Bronze. The StagePro Bronze is a small-footprint side-mounted EQ incorporating the renowned LR Baggs Element under-saddle pickup. This is a low-profile unit with a large backlit tuner, volume, bass and treble controls and phase. The battery box is built into the end pin jack compartment for easy access with a simple push to open and change batteries.
