C&C’s first years were spent building custom drums. The drums from this era were a straight maple shell with a sharper bearing edge designed by owner Bill Cardwell. The Gladstone series is made with 7 plies of New England Rock Maple. It has the attack and projection known for a maple shell but with a warm tone that makes for a very musical and versatile drum. This is an exciting addition, as it reintroduces the line that put C&C on the map. This line comes standard with Triple Flanged Hoops and C&C’s brand new proprietary single ended lug, though this kit features center lugs on each drum. Sizes are 13×8, 16×15, and 26×12, and finish is a high gloss brown candy to natural duco, with bits of metal flake in the finish, giving it just a bit of a sparkle.
