The HMW (Heavy Metal Warfare) is the ultimate single channel amp for achieving all ranges of rock and metal tones from barely distorted to extreme modern heavy metal in one amp. With high and low gain inputs as well as a high and low gain switch altogether there are 4 input sensitivities to choose from depending on how aggressive of a sound the user is going for. The versatility of this arrangement allows the HMW to function as either a straight plug and play ripping heavy metal amp or a pedal platform style amp where moderate distortion sounds are dialed in then modified with fuzzes, boosts, overdrives, etc.
EQ is expansive but not excessive. Settings are divided into preamp and power amp controls with Gain, Treble, Middle, and Bass setting the tone of the preamp and Volume, Presence and Depth used to adjust the overall volume and frequency response of the power amp. Two EQ shift switches were added which can further shape the response of the high and low frequencies to help tailor the sound to different playing styles whether it’s fast technical metal or slow pulverizing sludge. Both switches off (down) is the stock sound of the amp. Treble shift engaged increases brightness and presence and also helps accentuate pick attack. Turning the bass shift on makes the overall sound thicker and the response more slow and woofy.
Due to space constraints this amp does not have a line out like the normal size version. Other than that it is the exact same amp as the HMW except in a smaller enclosure.
The back panel has two parallel speaker outs and a 3-way selector switch for 4, 8 or 16 ohm operation. FX loop is optional on this model.
