With one of the hottest pickup configurations any Strat has to offer, the Fender American Performer Stratocaster HSS is loaded up with single-coil Yosemite pickups at the neck and middle and a DoubleTap humbucking pickup with single-coil mode and no volume loss on the bridge, all built using flat-staggered pole pieces for hot output with minimal sustain. This unique patent-applied-for humbucker and pickup set is wired with Greasebucket circuitry for rich, dynamic tone with incredible control, and the solid maple neck is carved to a “Modern C” profile and features a 22-fret, 9.5-radius rosewood fingerboard for excellent playability and easy bending.
Founded by Leo Fender in 1938 as Fender’s Radio Service, what is now the Fender Musical Instruments Corporation began making electric guitars and amplifiers in 1945. The rest, as they say, is history. Creator of the world’s first mass-produced, and by far most popular, solid-bodied electric, Fender is now the world’s leading guitar manufacturer.
