It’s not easy to improve on the Telecaster, and yet Fender seems to do it time and time again. This Fender American Performer Telecaster is equipped with dual Yosemite single-coil pickups, one at the bridge with wax potting and one at the neck with shellac coating, both featuring flat-staggered pole pieces and Greasebucket circuitry for rich, dynamic tone with hot output and minimal feedback. The solid maple neck is carved to a “Modern C” profile and the 9.5-radius rosewood fingerboard with 22 jumbo frets offers excellent playability and easy bending whether you’re chicken pickin’ or just strumming one out.
Founded by Leo Fender in 1938 as Fender’s Radio Service, what is now the Fender Musical Instruments Corporation began making electric guitars and amplifiers in 1945. The rest, as they say, is history. Creator of the world’s first mass-produced, and by far most popular, solid-bodied electric, Fender is now the world’s leading guitar manufacturer.
The Fender American Performer Series makes American-made quality accessible to every player. Six new models, handcrafted in Corona, California, highlight the traditional design of Fender’s most celebrated guitars, while adding new innovations and modern components to enhance tone, performance, and feel.
