Neck Details: Bolt-on maple neck with bound rosewood fretboard, block inlays, and heel-adjust truss rod. The neck has been refretted, and has a “FEB 72 A” heel stamp.

Electronics: Original single coli pickups with grey bobbins and 1972 stamps, and original wiring harness with neck and bridge volume controls and master tone control. Some solder joints have been redone. The pot codes date to 1971.

Hardware: Original; the pickup cover is missing.

Cosmetic Condition: The bass shows moderate cosmetic wear for its age, with patches of play wear along the arm carve, along the sides and bouts of the body, and elsewhere on the glossy finish. The back has heavy buckle rash, with some areas worn through to wood. The finish has mild checking, and the neck has various light patches of worn-through finish along the back and sides.

Tech Notes: The bass plays well with low action and optimal neck relief. The frets are tall with minor wear, and the truss rod is adjustable. The neck stamp, electronics, and serial number date the bass to 1972.
