Neck Details: Bolt-on maple neck with unbound rosewood veneer fretboard, dot inlays, and heel-adjust truss rod. The neck heel stamp has faded, but the green ink and format is correct for 1970. There is a second stamp on the bottom of the heel indicating this was a special order.
Electronics: Original split single coil pickup with grey fiberboard bobbins. The wiring harness has been replaced with newer CTS pots. The controls include master volume and tone controls.

Cosmetic Condition: This vintage Fender Precision Bass shows heavy aging and nice authentic play wear. The body has heavy finish wear, with checking, worn through patches, and other signs of decades of use. The back of the neck is glossy and nicely worn, and the headstock face shows typical yellowing and checking.
Modifications/Repairs: The wiring harness has been replaced.

Tech Notes: The bass plays well with low action and light neck relief, and is currently set up with 40-95 light bass strings. The truss rod has limited adjustability, but the bass sets up and plays well. The original frets are low with light play wear. The serial number dates the bass to 1970.
