Neck Details: Bolt-on maple neck with round lam Brazilian rosewood fingerboard and clay dot inlays. The neck is stamped “2 OCT 63 B.”

Electronics: Original pickups and electronics; the controls consist of a three-position selector switch with master volume, neck tone, and middle tone. The middle pickup has been rewound, and the leads were removed at the pickup to maintain the original solder joints to the electronics. The pot codes date to 1963.

Pickup Measurements: Neck 5.92K, Middle 6.01K, Bridge 5.35K

Hardware: The bass side neck pickup screw has been replaced for optimal pickup height, and the string tree spacer has been removed for better break angle over the nut. The rest of the hardware is original. The string tree spacer and original neck pickup mounting screw are included in the case.

Cosmetic Condition: This pre-CBS vintage guitar is in good condition with light wear considering its age. The finish is vibrant and glossy, with minor scratches and dings throughout. There are a few finish cracks near the neck pocket on the back of the body. The hardware has a light patina.

Modifications/Repairs: The middle pickup has been rewound, the bass side neck pickup mounting screw has been replaced, and the string tree spacer has been removed.

Tech Notes: The guitar plays well with low action. The original frets are narrow and medium height, with minor wear. The serial number, neck stamp, pot codes, and body pencil date all date to 1963.
