Black lacquer on treble side of neck pocket only. “X” “10” and “3” permanent marker markings in neck pocket as well as “12” stamp and another that is covered by part of “10” marking. “ES” stamp, “D” and “MR” quality control initials under pickguard. Replaced pickguard and saddles.

Neck Details: Maple neck with unbound Indian rosewood fingerboard. Neck has been refretted and nut has been replaced. Fingerboard has been converted to 9.5″ radius from original 7.25″ during refretting process. Date stamped 13th April, 1966. Two patent number decals and DES number decal on headstock. Replaced tuners, replaced string tree. “N2096017” etched on back of headstock.
Electronics: Electronics appear original with exception of 5-position toggle switch. Era correct single coil pickups with 5-position toggle switch volume, neck tone, and middle tone controls. Pot codes date to 1964. Solder joints appear mostly untouched on pots with exception of hot leads from switch and tone cap joints. Tone cap has been replaced.

Hardware: Tuners, string tree, pickguard, saddles, trem springs, and trem arm tip have been replaced. All other hardware appears original.

Cosmetic Condition: Guitar is in good condition with moderate wear. There are scratches, dents, dings, finish chips, and areas of finish haze throughout. The finish has worn away from playing surface of neck, and finish on body is weather checked. There is a large gouge in the body under the bridge.

Tech Notes: Guitar plays well with low action and optimal neck relief. Fingerboard was planed straight and neck sights well, with action in truss rod to add relief and straightness. Frets are wide and tall, showing minimal wear. Pot codes date to 1964, serial number and neck stamp date to 1966.
