There is also a repaired crack extending along the tuner set screws on the back of the headstock, from the bottom edge to around the D tuner. The neck heel has a “9-57” pencil date.
Electronics: Original single coil neck pickup with black fiberboard bobbin; the bridge pickup has been replaced with a 1970s Fender pickup. The wiring harness has original components, with some touched up solder joints. The pot codes date to 1957.

Cosmetic Condition: This vintage Fender Telecaster shows very unique aging, with heavy cosmetic wear to the body finish. The body appears to have been painted red over the original blonde, both of which were then mostly sanded off down to the natural ash. The body wood has darkened and tarnished, and the remaining patches of blonde finish are heavily worn. The back of the neck is smooth and nicely worn in.
