Gibson 57 Classic Humbucker
The very first “Patent Applied For” humbuckers Gibson produced were wound with varying degrees of accuracy, resulting in pickups with unique tones and level of output. The ’57 Classic pickup line strives to recapture that early magic. First introduced in 1990, the ’57 Classic has a warm, full sound and perfectly balanced tonal response. Made to the same specs as the originals, including Alnico II magnets, nickel-plated poles, nickel slugs and even maple spacers. The pickups are also wax potted to remove any internal air space, removing the possibility of microphonic feedback.
This pickup can be used in the neck or bridge position, but recommended for the neck.
